FILM: Dark Knight Premieres in 7 days!

The fan interest and buzz about this movie has been overwhelming ever since Heath Ledger died, and just like some people predicted, it's resulting in lots and lots of ticket sales. Theaters across the U.S. have added some 1,500 screenings. Since the Thursday Midnight and 3 a.m. shows are sold out already, some theaters are even adding 6 a.m. screenings. The viral marketing campaign has been in overdrive hyping the Joker, Harvey Dent, and sometimes Batman, too. All of this is well-deserved, by the way. Batman Begins was a fantastic movie, and actually stole the Best of Summer 05 away from heavyweight favorite Revenge of the Sith. The advanced press preview reviews are stellar (Rotten Tomatoes has it at 100% fresh rating so far), and of course people are campaigning for a posthumous Oscar nod for the Joker. I would probably barf if it did happen, but they did nominate Johnny Depp for a kids adventure movie, so why not Ledger for a comic book action movie?
