FILM: What to Watch: WALL-E, not Wanted

*Posted June 27, 2008*

Last week saw comedies Get Smart and the Love Guru battling it out for box office gold. The Love Guru bombed both critically and commercially (and rightfully so). This weekend, Pixar unleashes their annual film, WALL-E, while some assassin action flick fights for distant second. Seriously, I don't see the appeal of Wanted. We already get it, Angelina Jolie; you can play tough. Mr. and Mrs. Smith was decent, but both Tomb Raiders sucked despite the efforts of Daniel Craig and Gerard Butler. So, my loyal listeners, please go see WALL-E this weekend. Here's the tagline: "After 700 years of doing what he was built for - he'll discover what he's meant for." There's hardly any dialogue, it's just a visually stunning love story between robots. Wow, it doesn't sound that appealing does it? But trust me, you'll love it like most other Pixar movies. Below is the trailer.
