SPORTS: Stanley Cup Finals

*Posted May 30, 2008*

The bad news: By not scoring at all in the first two games in Detroit, the Pens put themselves in quite a hole. The good news: With a win at home Saturday night, where they've been unstoppable, it's a brand new series. Malkin has been taking a nap all series, and thankfully Sidney Crosby stepped up. But you get the feeling that if the Pens hold on in Game 4, they will have a huge wave of momentum carrying them back to Detroit. Still, it won't be easy. Detroit moves the puck better than any team I've seen all year, and they are first team this postseason to get soft goals against Marc-Andre Fleury. Let it be known that Top Ten's own hockey guru had the Wings over the Pens in 6 from the very beginning. Let's hope he is as wrong as he normally is.
