SPORTS: Pens Continue to Dominate

*Originally Posted May 13, 2008*

The NHL playoffs keep rolling along, with the Pens up 2-0 against the Philly Flyers (Game 3 is tonight). But something else that is stirring up trouble in the playoffs is a play from the Red Wings/Stars series. Everybody loves to see violence in hockey, and even cheap shots make for a good time. So check out below, where Red Wings goalie (at the end of Red Wings win) decides to stick the butt of his goalie stick up into the face of the passing Star, Mike Ribeiro. He responds by turning around and two-handing him across the chest. The retaliation looks bad, but he hits Osgood in a place where he's got tons of padding. So don't believe Osgood's acting performance, he really wasn't hurt. Osgood also claims he did it by accident. The league did not suspend either player (good move), but both got fines.
